The goal here is to set up a Zoom session for students to work together on projects, discussions, and presentations independently, without direct supervision from the instructor.

Scheduling Zoom Sessions / Recurring Meetings (Student-Initiated)

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Students should be able to schedule their own meetings (potentially recurring) and invite group members, fostering autonomy. Ensure your university's Zoom account settings allow students to host meetings.

Screen Sharing

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Students can share their work (presentations, documents, code, design files) with each other for collaborative editing, feedback, or review.
  • How to Set Up: Use the provided Freshdesk link for "Screen Sharing".

Whiteboard

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Students can use the whiteboard for brainstorming, mind-mapping, sketching out project ideas, or jointly solving problems.
  • How to Set Up: Use the provided Freshdesk link for "Whiteboard".

Chat / File Sharing

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Use the chat for ongoing communication, sharing quick links to resources, and keeping a running log of discussion points. Use in-meeting file sharing for quick exchanges of documents or images, though recommend Moodle or other designated university platforms for more permanent file storage.
  • How to Set Up: Use the provided Freshdesk links for "Chat" and "File Sharing".

Recording Sessions (with group consent)

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Group members can record their sessions (with unanimous consent from all present) to create meeting minutes, review decisions, or for absent members to catch up.

Reactions

  • Design Consideration / Application Ideas: Students can use reactions (thumbs up/down, clap, etc.) for quick non-verbal feedback during discussions, especially in larger student group presentations.
  • How to Set Up: Use the provided link "Reactions
