This article outlines how to schedule Zoom meetings directly from Moodle. It includes the available options and provides step-by-step instructions.
1. From your Moodle course, turn Edit mode on. You can find this from the top right corner of Moodle.
2. From any section in your course, click Add an activity or resource.
3. Click the Zoom Meeting Activity.
4. Add a topic (meeting name), and optionally a description.
5. Under Schedule, you can set the start date for your meeting.
6. To reuse the same link for future sessions, select Recurring meeting. A recurring meeting is recommended over creating multiple links with the same host and participants.
6. Once your settings are configured, scroll down and click Save and display.
7. You can launch your meeting from this activity and download a calendar invite if needed.
Now that your meeting is scheduled, you can start the session.
For the full Zoom experience, we recommend launching meetings using the Zoom desktop app rather than the browser. Features such as automatic live captions, shared notes, immersive view are only available in the Zoom desktop app.
If you start a meeting from Moodle and are prompted to choose how to join, select "Open Zoom Meetings" (or launch the desktop app) instead of using the web client.
