The scheduler Activity is a powerful tool that allows instructors to organize their office hours in a Moodle course. This article is a guide for setting up the scheduler activity in group mode.

1.  Click "Turn editing on."
From the top right corner of your course, click on the Turn editing on button.

2. Click "Add an activity or resource."

The button can be found at the bottom of each section in your course.

3. Select the "Scheduler" activity from the Activity and Resource picker.

4. Enter the "Name" of the scheduler and add any necessary instructions in the "Introduction."

This would be where you would give instructions for where the meeting could be held. However, do not put the link to the meeting here. You would do that once your meeting has been booked.

5. Under options select "Yes, for all groups" or "Yes, for grouping."

Depending if students are in more than one group or not and are organized into groupings. If groupings are enabled, select the correct grouping. For more information on creating groups and groupings click here.

6. Click "Save and Display."

7. Under "Slots" Select "Add slots" and add preferred slots.

From the My appointments tab, you can choose whether to Add repeated slots in bulk or single slots.

8. Customize the settings and adjust the "Maximum number of students per slot" and adjust "location."

This is where you would enter the number of students who can be booked in a slot. Make sure the number matches the number of students in your group. This is also where you would set the location for your meetings.

9. Click "Save Changes."

Your students will be ready to now book appointments with you in groups. Only one student will need to book the appointment
