This tutorial will show you how to embed Kaltura videos into your KPU's WordPress site. This assumes that you have already uploaded your video into your My Media. 


(Note: This does not work with My Media in Moodle, you must use media.kpu.ca to access your My Media.)


  1. Go to media.kpu.ca and login using your KPU ID credentials.
  2. Once logged in, go to your My Media to open your video.

  3. When your video is opened. Ensure your video is published or unlisted by clicking Actions > Publish.
  4. Select your video to be unlisted or published. Then click, Save.

There are two options when it comes to embedding your videos into WordPress. Are you using the (a) default block editor or (b) elementor? 



(a) Using default block editor

  1. Go to the media and click on Share, then oEmbed. Copy the link in oEmbed.
  2. Now, go to your WordPress page (where you want the video to be displayed). And paste in the copied link. The video should appear right away. 
  3. Save your WordPress page.



(b) Using Elementor


  1. Go to the media and click on Share, then oEmbed. Copy the link in oEmbed. 

     
  2. Now, go to your WordPress page and click on Edit with Elementor. Screen showing Edit with Elementor button
  3. Drag Text Editor onto your page.Screen showing Text Editor selected
  4. Select Visual tab and delete existing sample text in the editor and paste in copied link. (Video should display in editor and on page).


  5. Click Update to save your WordPress page.
