The following steps allow you to create an assignment to manage deadlines and submissions:

1. Log into PebblePad and go to your Workspace from the Dashboard

2. From the left-hand menu, click Assignments.

3. You will see Create Assignment page to start a new assignment.

4. Choose an Assignment Type

Select one of the following options:

Note: You will not be able to change this option once the assignment has started and it has submissions on it.

5. Choose a Submission Viewer 2 (Recommended) 

6. Enter Assignment Information


7. Set Deadlines

  • Start Date/Time: Work can be submitted any time after this date.

  • End Date/Time: Work cannot be submitted after this date unless late submission is allowed.

  • Late Submission (Optional): Set a late submission deadline.

  • Modification Deadline: Set until when students can modify already submitted work.

  • Maximum Submissions: Specify the max number of submissions per student.

8. Select Submission Types

Decide which submissions to accept:

  • Pebble+ submissions – Accept assets from Pebble+.

  • All asset types or Restrict to specific types.

  • Auto-submit resources – Accept automatically submitted resources.

  • Direct file uploads – Accept file uploads; can restrict to certain file types.

9. Submission Restrictions (Optional)

  • Enable Prevent users from removing their submissions if you want submissions to be permanent once made.

10. Save the Assignment

  • Click Save to create the assignment.

  • You can now manage it from the Assignments list on your dashboard.
