When a Zoom meeting is recorded to the cloud, and audio transcription is enabled, Zoom automatically generates a transcript alongside the recording. The transcript can be accessed through the email notification sent by Zoom or directly through your Zoom web portal.


Option 1: Accessing the Transcript from the Zoom Notification Email 

  1. You will receive an email from Zoom titled “Cloud Recording – [Meeting Topic]”.                                           

  2. This email will contain links to:

    • The video recording

    • The audio-only file

    • The transcript (closed captions)



You can click the transcript link to view or download it directly.


Option 2: Accessing the Transcript via the Zoom Web Portal

If you prefer to access the transcript through your Zoom account, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account.                                                                                                                                

  2. Navigate to Recordings and Transcripts in the left-hand menu, then select the Cloud Recordings tab.

     

  3. Locate the meeting for which you want to access the transcript and click on the meeting title.                             

  4. Under the Recording Files section, you will see multiple file types, including:

    • Shared Screen with Speaker View (MP4)

    • Audio-only (M4A)

    • Audio Transcript (VTT)                                                                                                                         

  5. Click the Audio Transcript or Closed Caption file to view or download it.                                                       

     

  6.
