This course includes the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools to complete learning and assessment activities. Some of these tools may require you to create an account and ask for personally identifying information during registration. While KPU does not collect this information, it is important that you are aware of the way in which these tools might use your data.  


To protect your privacy and intellectual property: 

  1. Provide only the minimum personal information (e.g., email address) when registering.  
  2. Never input personal information about yourself or others into the GenAI tool’s prompt including facial or other identifying images.  
  3. Many GenAI tools use your inputs to train their models and for other purposes. As KPU has no control over the ways these GenAI tools collect, use, disclose, or store your data, your inputs could be disclosed to other users of the GenAI tool or publicly. We recommend that you do not input any information or content into theGenAI tool that you wish to keep confidential or for which you wish to keep confidential or for which you wish to maintain intellectual property rights.

Your instructor has identified the following GenAI tools as necessary for the learning outcomes in this course:

You are encouraged to read the terms of service and the privacy policy of each GenAI tool that you use. If you are uncomfortable with the use of the tools prescribed by your instructor, you may discuss your concerns with your instructor to determine whether any alternative arrangements can be made. 

Students are always responsible for all materials submitted to their instructor. Students should carefully review and confirm the accuracy of all materials that are created with GenAI tools.
