This is a brief guide on how to change the letter grades to meet the grading standards of Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS). Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS) uses an "Experience Grading System" Click here to find out more about KPU's Grading Systems.



1. Accessing the Gradebook


This menu can be found when you are in your course. The course management menu, gives the user access to course wide settings. 


Click on Gradebook Setup


Under "Course Settings" find the link that says Gradebook Setup. It is the second link in the list.




Click on on Letters


From the tabs under the heading Gradebook Setup, you will see a link that says "Letters." Click on that you will be directed to the page to setup.



2. Editing Letter Grades


The Grade Letters page is where the instructor can adjust the grades to comply with CPS policy click on the "Edit Grade Letters" link 



Override Site Defaults


A new screen will appear check off "override site defaults" this will allow you to change the letter grades.



Change the letter grades


With the above box checked off, you may now begin to change the grades. You may add or remove grades. The below images are a couple of examples how the grades would look.




When you are done do not forget to save changes.
