This article will give you a brief overview of how to navigate the continuing & Professional Studies (CPS) Moodle site. Click here to access the CPS Moodle site.

1. Logging in

When you go to the Moodle site you will be greeted with a log in page. Please log in with your KPU 100 number ID. If you need assistance logging in, please contact the IT Service Desk.

2. Accessing your Dashboard

Upon logging in you will be placed in at the home page where you will find important information. You can access your dashboard by clicking the Dashboard button as you can see in the image below.

3. Accessing your course.

From the dashboard you will be able to see all the courses that you would have access to. You can even view courses from the past and those that may be hidden.

Once you have sorted the way that you would like you can click on the course and access it from there.

4. Building your course

Now that you are in your course you will have two buttons that can be found in the banner section to the right of the KPU logo on your course.

If you would like to add activities to your course click on the green button to turn editing on. When the button turns red, that means you are in the editing mode.

Adding Activities or Resources

When editing is turned on, you may now add an activity or resource. This can be found on the right side of each section in your course.

You will see our suite of activities and resources from assignment activity to lessons to forums and all the above.

Managing your course

To the left of that button is the course management button.

Once you have clicked that button a new page will popup. Below are some links that are important to know about.

Edit Course Settings: This is where the instructor can change the course format, appearance, add a course description, change the course start date and end date.

Gradebook: When you would like to view your students grades, this link will take you to the grader report.

Participants: If you would like to view your roster of students, this would be the place to go.
