On BigBlueButton, a presenter can upload any office doc, PDF and slides.

It is important to understand that when you upload a PowerPoint file, BBB converts it to a PDF, resulting in the loss of animations and can cause the content to be misformatted. The upload feature is recommended for simple, static PowerPoints. If your PowerPoint contains animations, highlighting, or other embedded materials, it is recommended that you use screen share to optimize the display.

Though by default, a moderator is a presenter of a meeting, it can be changed to allow one of the participants/students to present at a time (click here to learn more).

Here is how to upload and share slides as a presenter (applies to breakout rooms as well):

1) Click the + button on the bottom-left corner of the BBB screen and select "Upload a presentation."

2) From the new page, click the arrow-cloud icon to upload your office document (PPT, PDF, etc.); or alternatively, drag-and-drop the file into the rectangular section. Click "Upload."

3) You and your participants should see the presentation on the BBB screen.
