iPads automatically turn off the display to save power automatically after 2 minutes, locks for security, and goes to sleep when it is not in use. You will need to unlock your iPad to use it.


  1. Wake your iPad by pressing the Home button.

  2. Press the Home button again to bring up the Passcode screen. 
  3. Enter your passcode. (The default passcode will be provided when signing out iPad from the library.) 

  4. To lock the iPad, press the top button. Or else, it will auto-lock in 2 minutes.
